Privacy policy

Short and plain, like the rest of the site.

What we store

  • Your username, which is public.
  • Your password, stored only as a one-way scrambled hash. Nobody can read it, including us.
  • Your email, only if you give it. It's private and only used to help you get back into your account.
  • If you use Google sign-in: your Google account ID and email, so we know it's you. We don't get your Google password, contacts or anything else, and your Google name isn't shown — you pick a username.
  • Your progress: lessons answered and games you mark as learning, learned or won.
  • Forum posts and your signature, which are public.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. Your lesson progress is also kept in your browser. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Sharing

We don't sell or share your information with anyone.

Kids

You must be 13 or older to make an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we'll delete it.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time from Account settings. Your progress is deleted immediately. Forum posts stay up, credited to “deleted member”, so conversations still make sense.
